Leo Austin-Muehleck is a Boston-Based Mandolinist, Performer & Educator. Leo has 15+ years of experience playing mandolin & is a Berklee College of Music American Roots Program Alumni (Class of 2023).

Leo’s playing & teaching focus is on American roots styles of music including bluegrass, old time, blues, jazz, country and rock. Leo has special expertise in Monroe style mandolin, learning fiddle tunes by ear, improvisation along with some more niche teachings such as alternate tunings and The Grateful Dead / Jerry Garcia style of playing.

Leo is passionate about sharing his joy, curiosity, and the groove of the mandolin. Lessons are open to all levels - beginner to advanced!
